Woman gives birth to four babies at BSMMU
20 December, 2024: A woman gave birth to four premature babies at the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University recently. All four newborns are now healthy. However, they will need regular follow-up by doctors for their proper growth.
The outcome came with the combined efforts of specialist physicians, doctors, resident students and intensive nursing services of nurses from the department of neonatology (neonatal) and fetomaternal medicine of BSMMU, said a press release on Thursday.
BSMMU vice-chancellor professor Md Shahinul Alam, pro-vice-chancellor (administration) professor Md Abul Kalam Azad, pro-vice-chancellor (research and development) professor Md Mujibur Rahman Hawlader, treasurer professor Nahreen Akhtar, dean professor Md Ruhul Amin, registrar professor Md Nazrul Islam, proctor Sheikh Forhad, chair of the fetomaternal medicine department professor Tabassum Parveen, chairman of neonatology department professor Md Abdul Mannan, director (hospital) brigadier general Md Rezaur Rahman, among others, inquired the health of the babies.
