Meeting Held  with ICT Cell to Strengthen Online Appointment Services for the Convenience of Patients

Emphasis on Easy Access to Outpatient Tickets Online

A significant meeting was held today, Saturday, January 4, 2025, between the administration of BSMMU and the ICT Cell with the aim of strengthening online appointment services for the benefit of patients. The meeting took place at the office of the Honorable Vice-Chancellor. The main focus of the meeting was on simplifying the process of obtaining outpatient tickets online. If outpatient tickets can be obtained and appointments confirmed fully online, patients will benefit. This will help avoid overcrowding at the outpatient department (OPD) for ticket issuance. Additionally, patients will be able to visit the doctor at the scheduled time and receive consultations or prescriptions. This will also save time for the patients. Patients will be able to access this service through the BSMMU website.

In the meeting chaired by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of BSMMU, Professor Dr. Md. Shahinul Alam, the discussion centered on the full implementation and expansion of this service, including obtaining tickets and appointments online, online payment for tickets, and assigning the appropriate department based on the patient's needs.
