Lecture on Hepatology and Gastroenterology by Foreign Expert Physicians at BSMMU

On Monday, December 23, 2024, Dr. Nazneen Sultana Ahmed, MD, Associate Professor of the Gastroenterology Department at the Health Sciences Center, Tennessee University, USA, delivered a lecture and presented a paper on Hepatology and Gastroenterology at the "Meet the Expert" event, held as part of the Master's class for foreign expert teachers and doctors at the Super Specialised Hospital lecture hall of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU).
The event was organized by the Hepatology and Gastroenterology Departments of BSMMU. The Chief Guest at the event, titled Hepatology and Gastroenterology Masters Class, was the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of BSMMU, Professor Dr. Md. Shahinul Alam. Also present were Professor Dr. Md. Dewan Saifuddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Gastroenterology Department; Professor Dr. Masudur Rahman Khan; Assistant Professor Dr. ABM Safiullah; and Dr. Saiful Islam Elin, a faculty member of the Hepatology Department.
Honorable Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shahinul Alam stated that this type of advanced education program on Hepatology and Gastroenterology is the first of its kind in the country, not just at this university. Such initiatives, through collaboration between higher medical education institutions both locally and internationally, will significantly contribute to improving medical education, healthcare services, and research to international standards. This will enrich the knowledge base on the latest advancements in all fields of medical science.
