Visit to the Oncology Department of BSMMMU Administration
On Saturday, December 21, 2024, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of BSMMMU, Professor Dr. Md. Shahinul

Alam, along with the administrative team, visited the Oncology Department for an inspection. During the

visit, he discussed various aspects of the department with the faculty members, doctors, and students,

focusing on the educational and medical activities. Later, the Honorable Vice-Chancellor visited the

Clinical Oncology Ward and the Radiotherapy Unit of the department.
During the inspection, the Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of improving the quality of

medicines used in cancer treatment, reducing treatment costs, and addressing various issues to provide

logical solutions. He urged all faculty members and doctors in the department to work towards these

goals.
The Vice-Chancellor also called for heightened awareness among everyone involved in improving the

service standards and overall development of the department.
Present during the visit were the Honorable Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Shahinul Alam, Pro-Vice-

Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research &

Development) Professor Dr. Md. Mujibur Rahman Howlader, Treasurer Professor Dr. Nahreen Akhter,

Registrar Professor Dr. Md. Nazirul Islam, Proctor Dr. Sheikh Farhad, along with faculty members,

doctors, and resident students of the Oncology Department.
